Located on a 6-acre site in the southwest corner of the Brooklyn Navy Yard, the development includes five buildings: three new buildings for retail and light-industrial use; a restaurant; and the restoration and preservation of Quarters B, the only remaining 19th century residence formerly used as officers’ quarters. The largest of the buildings, Building A, is steel-framed, 90-feet tall and includes a 70,000 sf Wegmans supermarket, one of Brooklyn’s largest grocery stores and Wegmans’ first in NYC. The upper levels have over 130,000 sf of light-industrial space. Jeffrey Beane was the project manager and lead engineer for all phases of design and construction.*
