Adaptive reuse of historic landmark listed on the National Register of Historic Places and still functioning as an active ferry terminal. Located on the southern tip of Manhattan, the Battery Maritime Building was completed in 1909, and is the last remaining East River ferry terminal. The building fell into severe disrepair in the mid to late 20th Century and has undergone several repair and alteration campaigns since. Jeffrey Beane was the project manager and lead structural engineer for major building alterations, interior repairs and the vertical addition from 2008-2013.*
